What does this mean?

I just got a very obviously +opk on an answer opk and so I also tested with a clear blue easy digital- the one with the circle/smiley face. The clear blue was negative- no smiley face. Which one do I believe???

was it with the same pee? I tend to lean towards the digital because there is no user guesswork involved. Got a pic of the answer OPK? Maybe it is just on the verge of positive and if you test later this afternoon with the digital you will get your smiley?

Thanks! Well, kind of the same pee. I dumped the cup and then decided to try the clear blue. I managed to squeeze a few drops out- I guess enough to test. I will re-test in a couple of hours.

Can I put a pic up using an iphone camera?

digi's work a little differently- they test a ratio of estradiol to lh, and they do best with fmu, unlike regular opks, that should not use fmu. i would consider the + opk to be really positive, if it is truly without a doubt positive. so that means, get busy. keep testing though. i like the ic's, and i keep testing until they go negative and i get crosshairs. that way, there's no confusion. remember you can o anytime from within 12 hrs of your first positive to 48 hours following your last positive opk.

I use the Clear Blue easy and find them to be very accurate. I had a positive yesterday and, for grins, did a strip one as well. If I had used just the strip, I never would have thought it was +. That's the biggest reason for using the CBE - you don't have to try to decipher the lines. I've been using them about 8 months, and my temperature jump always confirms ovulation, so I completely trust their results over a strip. HTH!

ditto on the digi's can't go back now that I tried them.

You ladies are wonderful!!! Thank you.

Ok, so I waited almost 4 hours and tested again. The answer opk hardly even had a touch of a colour to it. I didn't even bother testing with the digital. Is it possible to get a false positive on an opk? I wish I knew how to post a picture because this opk was positive, I'm positive (I think).

Frustrating.

i know this is an older thread, but thought i could maybe help for next time. i get a faint line on the answer strips 2 to 1 1/2 days before ov and temp surge. it's been like that for a few cycles, so i suppose it has to do with your body getting ready to ov. if you aren't in the ov zone quite yet, that could explain the negative clear blue.

i had my first faint line this cycle this morning, so i'll be getting busy tonight.
