Tic or behavioral..pls help...

DS is 3 had was doing this wiping of his face thing back in February and then it stopped up until 2 weeks ago. We had him checked by the allergist and everything came back negative. He has been screened by a speech therapist and also came up that there is no autism or anything of that sort going on with him. Everything else about him is totally normal. Except he just wipes his face - like from top to bottom. If I ask him why, he tells me he is itchy. I use a very gentle soap and lotion (all California baby - sensitive skin) and don't know what else to do. We have an appointment set up with a behavioral pediatirician but it's not until the end of October. I am very upset. Every time I see him do it, I get more upset. I don't know what to make of it anymore! Can anyone shed some light?

Does he do anything else? Roll his eyes? Make any sort of noise?

If not I would say that this is probably not a tic, but a compulsive movement. There was a video on a website on Tourette's syndrome that explained the difference.

I kind of feel better already because, no, he doesn't do anything else, just this. Sigh...it's still difficult to watch since something is bothering him and I can't stop it.
