TED Success Stories?

We were able to control DD's issues having cut out the Top 8 plus tomatoes, but DS is refusing to be that simple, and I'm getting really anxious to get this little guy gaining weight at an acceptable rate, so after 3 weeks on an ED with little results, I'm jumping to a TED. But apparently today was a poor day to start because I am feeling tired and grumpy and generally poor, pitiful me. So I would really appreciate hearing that TED worked for some of you, so I can feel like I'm doing this for a reason, and that DS is going to get better.

Thank you!

We ended up doing a TED, and it helped DS tremendously!! He apparently was reacting to almost everything he and I were eating and doing the TED helped us figure that out. As soon as we removed ALL of his offenders, his rashes went away, his reflux totally stopped, his eczema went away, etc. The child did a 180!! However, we have had a very very very hard time adding foods back into his diet as he reacts to almost everything. So, he is still only eating about 7 foods and he's 2 years old!

It did help us as well. My son's symptoms were diarrhea, frequent spitup, no weight gain and severe eczema. The diarrhea and spitup cleared up quickly, but the eczema took months and he still has a little. We also have had to use Hydrocortisone during that time.

I started by removing suspects one by one until we were down to three foods. I wish now that I had started with just a TED because I spent about 4 months removing things while he just continued to get worse.

The hardest part is that it takes a lot of time to find foods that he does not react to. But we have found enough. We are both able to eat about 14 foods now, and he is a very good eater. I admit I am looking forward to weaning.

Good luck!
