DD2's class has decided to do hot lunch this year. The parents take turns cooking the food. The regular school (the preschool room operates separate from the rest of the school) does a hot lunch once a week like this and I've cooked before for it but it is different cooking for older kids then a group of 3-4 year olds! For the big kids, baked potatoes or nachos are old standbys. Of course I somehow volunteered for the first day which is next Monday,
there will be an oven and stove in the room so they can heat up whatever it is. I need a main dish, along with fruit and veggie sides which I just will grab what is on sale this weekend at the store. Ideas? I thought about mac and cheese but figured that I should probably be a little more creative at the beginning of the year.
