REI- great find- kids keen sale

I took DS to REI tonight to try on the KEEN sandals. IDK what model they are but they are the standard ones most kids have. Anyway I was just going in for sizing and then was going to see if they were cheaper on line somewhere. They had his size, they fit, they had the color he wanted (dark green) and they scanned on sale - even though they were marked full price.

In AZ these are 'winter' shoes because they have a covered toe and enclosed heel LOL. DS now has 3 pairs of shoes that fit and should be good to go for awhile! He was so happy.

I love keens because they run WIDE and fit mr flintstone foot. These shoes will still fit with socks if needed.

oooh, nice find. I saw a few others that would easily work as winter shoes, especially with socks. Maybe not for huge, long excursions outdoors, but for the typical errand running for sure.

That's a really good find! DS has a pair of those as well and I know they were around $45/$50 at the time we bought them. But they lasted ALL summer and still look brand new! That was 2 years ago. We're saving them for YDS.

Ahh! I wish they had bigger kid's sizes on sale! I can totally wear a kid's 6.

Big summer sale this next week at REI, got a flyer in the mail yesterday.

I just bought a pair in July, but some of the internal stiching is coming loose, so I need to return them this weekend.
Likewise, my mom bought a pair in July as well, her's too have become frayed already after limited use.

Thus far, I am not certain that Keen's are worth the price, alothough I love the fit, for $110 pair of shoes to be falling apart after maybe 5 times of wear around the house, it seems that the quality of this made in China shoe is dropping big time.
