Overnight potty issues

Thread Starter
I'm afraid my 3.5yr old is having issues overnight.
We limit fluids after 7pm, he goes pee right before bed, then DH takes him before we go to sleep. That's usually around 10:30pm.
DH takes him once again at 5am but 6 nights out of 7 he has already wet the bed by then.
This is obviously causing a LOT of extra laundry. At first I thought it was because we weren't consistent, but we've gone 3 straight weeks of this now with no improvements. DS is genuinely bothered when he wets the bed but does NOT want to wear a diaper or pull-up to bed any more.

Any advice??

Is this a new development after being dry for awhile or is this just part of the p'lng plan? If he has a long period of dry before than I would persist with the undies at night. If he hasn't then I don't think he is developmentally quite there and you should return to diapers or pullups. Wetting the bed every morning is not going to be helpful.

Personally, I'd return to diapers because I think pullups are not helpful in p'ling. I'd only use them on a much older child. The return to diapers doesn't have to be punitive and you can use a specific guidline if you need to, like only two accidents (if you use that word) in one month and we will switch.

Very interested in this as well. My almost 3.5 year old still wets at night..though not all the time. I don't really know how to stop it from happening but I too can not keep doing all the extra laundry...
