options for an older baby?

My baby (and me) never took well to fabric wraps. We tried a few (moby and a few other random sling type ones i can't remember) and they seemed to be so complicated to get on/get her in and out of. Anyway we ended up getting a bjorn and she LOVES LOVES it. She likes to face out and suck on it. She is still a few pounds away from the weight limit but i am already thinking about what i should use next. So any suggestions for what to try after the bjorn? she is 6 months and about 15 pounds.

What about an Ergo or other soft structured carrier? I didn't have one with ds1, we had a woven wrap which I loved, but I always wanted an Ergo for the convenience factor.

Now I have one for ds2 and I love it. It is really convenient, easy to use, and comfortable. They can't face out, but now that she's getting bigger she'll be getting highert in the carrier enough to be able to look around pretty easily.

LOVE my ergo. I use it almost daily with my 10 mo old. It's still comfortable and she loves it. If you're using a bjorn, you'll probably be amazed at how comfortable an ergo is.

ditto above

I love the Ergo! Super comfortable and I still use it with my 2-year old. I put her on my back.

I say the ergo as well. We LOVE it & ds is now 33lbs & we still use it regularly!

Loved my HOTSLINGS for side carry and ERGO for the back. Used both for many years - sling until age 2 or 3 and Ergo, 4.5 years.

The new Beco Gemini will give you lots of wearing options.

Our go-to carrier once she outgrew the moby was the mei tai. Next time I would make sure I got one with a hood though.
