Flu shot anyone?

I'm not too comfortable getting one and didn't when I was pregnant with DS. Just curious what the opinions are...no judgment!

Absolutely, positively, NEVER. Not for 1 million dollars. Not on threat of death.

DITTO!

Ditto - never ever. I actually got influenza type A twice while pregnant with DD and even still, I would never get the shot.

We don't do shots for anyone at any age. So no flu shot either.

No for me as well. Nope Nope Nope.

Yeah, I just don't feel too warm and fuzzy about the whole thing - esp with the new strains!

I also will not be getting the flu shot.
Nope none for me either. I won't get it when not pg, definitely not while pg.

When pg with my first I did try to get it and they refused me *because* of being pg! Go figure

Just curious--can those of you against it talk about why? (I'm not trying to confront or challenge anyone--I don't think I'm going to get it, either--but would like to better understand some of the different reasons.)

This over and over until I can't speak anymore and then I will write no until my hands cramp up. I have a link about flu shots and how horrible they are on my other computer...I will try and get it on here.

I will not get a flu shot. I got one with DS because I was working in a day care and didn't know any better.

I have a LOT of opinions about vaccines, and I won't go into all of them here.

But if for no other reason, flu shots still contain mercury. Mercury is about the last thing I want injected into my body when I'm growing a baby.
No, I have never had it and neither have the kiddos. For me, the obvious is that the shot contains mercury and other nasty things. It also seems pointless since you can get the shot, which can either be ineffective or protect against the wrong strain, and you get sick anyway! So what is the point?
I won't get one either. I'm not comfortable injecting my body with things. We don't do shots here at all, though. I especially don't want to take a risk when I'm pregnant.

I thought it was about general flu but it's about the swine flu...here it is anyhow.

No flu shots for me or my kiddos. The article that jennifer posted is good too, but here is why. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/ar...aspx?aid=CD945

This article covers regular flu, swine flu, and pregnant women. Specifically that this years and last years flu shots were not tested and still given to pregnant women (so they could be used as guinea pigs.

I have reasons for each vaccine that we have refused. For the flu shot, it basically comes down to 1) it's not effective and 2) I don't like to mess with my immune system, it works just fine.

I choose not to get the flu vaccine because I have issues with the ingredients, both with those that are listed and those that are NOT listed as ingredients. I recently learned I have multiple food allergies and sensitivities which present in severe neurological issues. I am very careful about the food I eat, and also anything that goes on or into my skin. A few years ago I also found I had high aluminum levels, I worked hard to get that resolved and I will not intentionally risk raising it again. I'll take vitamin C and D3 which may be are more effective than a shot anyway. Politically I think there is motivation behind the big push for the flu shot too, though for me that is a lesser issue than my own neurological health.
