Would you re-use a fill/drain hose that had been used with a fish tank?

I thought our last baby was our LAST baby, and my dh has been using the python fill/drain hose to clean/fill his fish tank.

I am kind of icked out thinking about fish poop -- and worse! -- in my birth tub. But if there's a way to clean it, I guess that's better than buying new.

I would use it to DRAIN the pool... no way would I use it to fill it though... ick

i would, why not run a full bath tub with vinegar or bleach water and suck that through the python, then rinse it with clear water. Let dry. Then it should be clean enough to fill your pool.

I did! My python was bought FOR my fish tank. I filled the bath tub with bleach water and sucked it into the hose, let it sit for ten minutes full of bleach water, washed the outside, drained and rinsed rinsed rinsed.

I would use it to drain. Probably not to fill though. The birth stuff wouldn't hurt the fish tank, but I don't know about the yuck factor of the fish stuff in my birth pool.

You could probably clean it up enough to make it safe. That is just too much time and effort for me. We just went out and bought a new garden hose.
