Slight Regression Question

I have a 17 month old dd who we have been EC since 3 months old. She wears diapers when we're out, but usually at home we let her run around naked. She had been signaling and staying dry almost all day for a few weeks, but recently she has started to pee in either her diaper or on the floor. She will sometimes signal while she is peeing her in diaper or floor.

She has also started using the potty signal as a game and a way to get what she wants rather than actually having to use the potty. She will signal "potty" and then we ask her and she shakes her head no and smiles or laughs as a fun joke on us. Other times if she is somewhere like her carseat or high chair that she wants out of, she will do the potty signal b/c she knows doing that will get us to respond to her immediately. and then once out she will run away and shake her head no.

I am not sure if this is just a phase or if she is really regressing. does anyone have any suggestions on getting her back to signaling before she goes pee. I had started putting her in diapers at home more b/c with school starting we were running around a little more crazy. but i am thinking that I should just take a few days and have her completely diaper free.

Phase, and we handled it by only letting her try the potty, which we keep in the back seat of the car. Whether she went or not, she went right back into her seat as soon as it was clear she was done (e.g. refusing to sit on the potty at all).

The few times dd was in a high chair it's been pulled right up to the table with the rest of us and she got moved to a lap as soon as she indicated that she wanted to sit with someone else. She generally gets her lunch at her own little table and if it seems like she's likely to have to go we use the potty for her chair.
