Hi,

I'm new to cowpooling & I'd like to know if this is a good price for organic certified angus beef. I'd also like to know if what's included is about right. Lastly, how long will an 1/8 of a cow typically last a family of 4?? TIA.

1/8 Cow ($175.00) Standard Cut:

15 Tubes of Hamburger (approx. 1-1.3lbs per package)
1 Package Ribeye Steak (2 steaks/pkg)
1 Package Sirloin Steak (approx 1.5lbs/pkg)
1 Package Round Steak (cube steak, approx 2lbs/pkg)
1 Choice of extra steak package (choose between Ribeye, Sirloin, or Round)
1 Chuck Roast
1 Shoulder Roast
2 Package Short Ribs
1 Choice of extra Roast (choose between Eye of Round or Rump Roast)
Choose between: 1 package T-Bone Steak (2 steaks/pkg) - -OR-- 1 package Filet
Mignon Steak with 1 package Strip Steak

How long it lasts is entirely dependent upon how often you eat meat. How many pounds does that come out to and whats the price per pound?

Ditto! I tried to figure up the poundage but not know the steak and roast size it is impossible and that can vary widely..
