I am 7w 3d, I live in mexico and i'm about 20 min from Texas. This is important for what i'm going to ask you later....
About 1-2 weeks ago i started getting nausea queasy feelings, no rhyme or reason to what part of the night or day. But i did notice that each day that passed the nausea would be twice that of the day before. Fast-forward to the past sunday....i start having to lay dawn because i had no energy and the nausea was making me like i would need to throw up if i moved to fast. Then sunday night....i was up all imght tossing and turning because the nausea had gotten so bad i could not sleep. I got out of bed and thought that maybe i should eat something...and with in minutes i was hovering the toilet.
I was able to fall asleep after that....but then a few hours later i took a sip..one sip of water and with in min. I was back in the bathroom.
I also had cold chills.
And felt achy all over
Monday i have my husband take me to a private mexican hospital for dehydration....my skin, my mouth was dry...i felt dehydrated.
The hospital gave me 2 average sized(about 12oz each bag) bags of IV fluids
and a shot for nausea. I still had a fever of about 100 and no energy. Very sensitive to lights and noise and smells.
I was able to eat a few saltines and sip water. That did stay down after the shot.
They did a u/s and i posted the results of that on here...
Sent me home with a prescription for antinausea pills and a rx for a vial of the anti nausea meds incase the pills didnt work and an antibiotic....for the unexplained fever. I have not taken the antibiotic as the fever went away monday night...and antibiotics give me yeast infections and they are just not good on a gut that is having issues. NO WAY in hell would i take those antibitoics feeling as bad i as do.
Tuesday i woke up and felt a little bit better...taking the antinausea pills every few hours...if i dont take them i get really bad... gaggy, heaving.
I was able to eat rice and chiciken broth on tuesday. All the while taking the medicine every few hours. Tuesday night...i did not sleep well....felt very nausous and on the verge of throwing up all night. Wednesday morning...today i was dry heaving....couldnt barely walk....needing to move very slow. I have no energy to even nurse my 23 mo. My house is a complete disaster. My husband has been good so far...he does keep the kids fed and diapers changed....but that's about all he does.
The anti nausea pill is not working anymore. So i decided to go back to the hospital to have another shot this morning. I need relief, i cant do anything. I cant even get into the shower, i havent shaved my legs in forever, i feel dirty and yucky.
I got the shot this morning and they said that if that doesnt help i need to see the doctor again...because it's not good to keep taking the pills and getting shots...well duh....but i have to eat and drink and function.
I was able to eat a few bites of a sandwich just now...but i feel awful. I'm planted on the couch, it takes an act of God for me to get up and go to the bathroom. I cant move.
This computer screen is making me sick, even the ipod touch makes me want to hurl.
I looked up hyperemisis and that sounds like what i have. I am sooo worried that my body is very deficient in nutrients considering i'm nursing and pregnant and not eating.
I'm thinking i may need to go into Texas to a hospital and be seen. We dont have insurance, but i'm sure i could qualify for medicaid or something. I need help, i cant go on like this. I cant function at all.
Please talk to me mama's

hypermesis does not have chills, fever or achiness. Yes, tiredness and being sleepy, but typical hypermesis, aside from more natural choices like b6 or b12 shots or acupuncture is going to be fixed using zofran (pump or meds) or phenegran or reglan. I am sure there are other options, but that seems to be the top ones. Zofran causes some pretty severe constipation, so just keep that in mind.

We fever, chills and aches, and you aren't sure what it is, I would honestly visit a doctor again, where ever you feel comfortable, and make sure it's not something else that could get worse without treatment. You could just have the flu or something worse, you know?

I have had hypermesis twice, and I still sick at 20 weeks, and zofran will make you stop throwing up, but you may still feel sick to your stomach. I have never had chills or a fever or achiness with it.

I felt that the fever was possibly due to dehydration as that can cause a fever also.
Thanks
