Did I have single stuture or double?? - Page 2

A single or double layer only matters during the healing process, not the long term. A double layer usually means quick healing however the uterus is as healed as it's going to be 3 months post c-section... The uterus is a VERY strong, supportive and fast rebounding muscle. How else could we grow for 9 months and then retract back??

I am planning a VBA2C and I chose NOT to get my c-section records. Why? Because it doesn't matter. I know I have a low transverse cut and I know that my first c-section scar was completely intact (they sectioned with (normal) fetal decels during transition on fear of UR) and that my uterus is strong, healthy and an amazing muscle in my body.

I got pregnant 11 months post 2nd c-section and was worried about the whole "2 yrs between pregnancies'. The actual recommendation is 12-18 months between BIRTHS. A uterus doesn't get stronger the longer between births... The healing happens in the first 3-6 months.

You CAN do this mama... A VBA2C is (in most cases) far safer than a third c-section birth. Be kind to yourself and remember that your fears control you. You can fear yourself right into what you don't want... I think I did with my 2nd c-section. I was so scared of a RCS and in the end, that's what I got. This time, I have no fear. It hasn't been easy to get to that point (it's taken me over half of the pregnancy) but you WILL get there.

Big hugs! You can VBA2C if that is what you want mama... You CAN and you WILL do it!

Congrats on the pregnancy!!!

If you talk to a midwife that was recommended, you won't have to convince her. You can lean on her to help you work through the doubts, and questions, and find your place of peace and acceptance. My midwife is super supportive!

I'm pretty crazy emotional this pregnancy, and felt like I was dumping on my midwife as if she was a therapist last week. She is totally accepting and talked me through some difficult feelings.

It seems like you are overwhelmed, you poor thing! Rather than waiting until you find everything yourself, you might consider letting the midwife help you find the confidence. It helps to have an ally in battle!
