very frequent braxton-hicks

Hi Womyn

What do you think of having very frequent Braxton-Hix in week 34/35? I mean like, every half hour or so. The baby moves and stretches kind of a lot, maybe that has something to do with it. I'm not worried, it's just new to me and pretty weird. Never hurts or anything.

Sounds pretty normal to me. I'm 33.5 weeks and get more BH than that. It couldn't hurt to talk to your doctor or mw though. Is this your first pregnancy? If not, how does it compare to your other ones?

I started getting frequent contractions at 32 weeks. It is something to bring up with your care provider on what to do if... (insert all sorts of scenarios here)

but for the most part, I find if they get bad enough... a nice warm bath makes them go away!

That sounds about right for my body. But is it normal for you? I'm now 37 weeks and getting contrax every 15 minutes around the clock.

I have the same issue, doctor said if I have 4 or 5 in an hour to put my feet up and drink some water, if they continue into a second hour to call them or head to labor and delivery, just to get checked out. I usually have 4 or 5 an hour but they never get into the second hour, this probably happens about 5 or 6 times a day. He checked today to make sure baby's head wasn't engaged or anything, and said it was nothing to worry about just keep an eye on it.
