Anyone UC recently in North Carolina?

We're approaching the end here and I want to make sure the laws for filing a birth certificate haven't changed since I had my last UC (in 2008). Last time we only needed our IDs, our SSNs, proof of residency (we used our water bill), proof of pregnancy (got a blood test done at the military hospital and then got a copy of the lab results, and did the same again this time), and took our daughter with us as proof of birth. It was all very easy and simple, but in order to find out everything that was needed I got hassled a LOT by the officials down in the county offices. I'd prefer not to call them and ask if things have changed since 2008, since they'll probably hassle me again!

So, back to the basic question: has anyone UCed in NC lately? Still the same requirements? All I can find online in homebirth forums and websites is information from 2008.

That's what they told me over the phone. I haven't gone in to do it yet though.

I thought the paperwork needed to be filed within 11 days of birth?

Well they didn't mention that-I don't know how they can Homs you to that. I still havent done it because they said my husband had to come in and fill out stuff since he's the one who "caught" the baby and he doesn't have any days off work. He's been building up extra hours and we will go when we can.
