Ovulation pain/OPK-am I still fertile? What does this all mean?

Yesterday AM I had a positive OPK. Yesterday afternoon, all evening and then again this morning I am having one sided classic ovulation pain but the OPK this AM was negative. So, usually this pain only lasts a few hours-has the egg released if I am still having the pain?? Am I fertile today or just yesterday? What is going on? Does this long lasting Ovulation pain mean the egg is having trouble releasing-if that is even possible? And once it does release how long is it still possible to conceive? Am guessing I should DTD tonight too just to cover all bases? Thoughts on all this from all you experts?? Thanks.

OPKs do not tell you WHEN you ovulate. They tell you when you have your LH surge, which is usually 24-48 hours BEFORE you ovulate which means you are probably ovulating as we speak So as long as you DTD last night and if you can get another one in tonight just to cover your bases, you'll be golden

I usually O (according to my BBT) about two days after my first positive OPK. So, my recommendation would be to DTD from the first positive OPK to about two or three days after, just to be safe. Good luck!

Ovulation itself only takes around 5-15 minutes to complete... however, ovulation pain can either precede or follow the actual ovulation.

So you could have ovulated yesterday... or still be gearing up to today...

luckily, when it comes down to it, that 1 day difference does not make quite as huge of a difference (unless you are not DTD until tonight and haven't in the past week at all in which case, if you ovulated yesterday you could be missing your chance at pregnancy)
