Is my FCLO off?

I got some cinnamon FCLO last year. I opened one bottle and started using it, but I was pregnant and threw it up every time, right up to the end. Needless to say, I wasn't exactly keen on trying it again right after ds was born. I did a few times and seemed to keep it down. I have not been diligent with it though, so now I still have some in this bottle that is 9 months old. I took some the other day and it burned my throat and tastes slightly bitter. Is that just how the cinnamon flavoured ones taste, or is it the oil that is off? Is there any way to tell? I cannot remember what it tastes like fresh.
Should I chuck it or is it still okay to use?

Ummm, I really don't know how one would ever know if your FCLO was rancid because it is so nasty. I take it, but it is gross. Normal that it burns, that is supposedly part of the ferment process but I don't really recall a bitter flavor. Well, maybe I guess there is a slight bitter component to natural unsweetened cinnamon. I'd wager it's fine and just the way FCLO is.

Thanks! I think I might continue taking it.
