LLL Conference, anyone been?

Hi all!

Well, money is always tight here, but I may have a few extra dollars to attend the LLL Northern California Conference under the $49.00 special price. This allows for me to attend two sessions and a lunch or dinner with a Keynote speaker. So, I am wondering, is it worth it? I don't really have anyone to go with, so I would be by myself with my nursing daughter. I am just trying to decide if it is something I should spend money on, or just save it....

I don't know what it is like, but I plan on going October in Wenatchee WA. I AM SO EXCITED!!!!

I am going to the one in NC NEXT weekend! I am sure it will be awesome and am looking foreward to posting about it here! Btw that is a very good price, I just paid almost $70 for mine (not including transportation, hotel, food, tshirts ect)

I think I am going to go. I figure that I don't spend a lot of money on myself, nor do I treat myself very often, and there are two sessions I would love to attend. So, I am just going to mail these forms off today and enjoy myself!

It is a bit expensive, but it's so worth it just to see all the daddies with babies in slings! Seriously, it's very cool to be able to sit down wherever you are and nurse and not feel like a sore thumb. I really enjoyed going last November.

They are a lot of fun. I've been going to them the past 10 years.

I'm missing the one coming up this next weekend in downstate IL. They never got their act together and took to long to get the info to me. I'm not a last minute type of gal, I need more planning time.

I always go myself or with one of my kids and meet up with others that I know from LLL

It is so worth it for the atmosphere if nothing else. It's so nice to be around a group of people who on a whole don't yell at their kids, swat them on the butt or stuff them in a stroller and prop a bottle in thier mouth. I went to one last spring and it was amazing how many babies and toddlers were there and how quiet it actually was.

I think I have dh talked into the BIG conference next year in Washington DC! I can't wait!!

I went with my MIL and this was what impressed her most. She was so thrilled to see so many small children being disciplined yet not hear a single raised voice or see anyone threatening or hitting. She was totally impressed with GD.

Poet, I am going! We could do lunch (or dinner, etc). I am planning on going Friday-Sunday, but I can only go because my chapter is paying for me to attend.

That would be great!! I am planning on going Saturday to the Kerwin Lunch and to two sessions. I would love to meet up. I will post and let you know for sure if I am going. Just when I thought we had some extra money, another suprise shows up! So, I am going to make a decision by the 26th to see if I can afford it!

I'm just filling out my registration form right now for the NoCA/HI conference. I think I'm going for the two day registration. We've been trying to do fundraising, but it isn't going so well. Hopefully I can raise some more money before then.

I have gone to one National LLL Conference and one Area Conference. They were both great. Great speakers and very nice to be with other LLL families.

My husband, kids and I are going to the IL Area Conference this upcoming weekend in Bloomington, IL. It will be a little weekend trip for us, hang out by the pool, I can attend sessions and my husband and son really enjoyed last year's conference.

Yes, go if you can - it is fun.

I'll be attending the MI conference in May. I am on the staff. I love the confs. I went to San Francisco last year and am planning to go to DC next year.
