Paint chipping on Klean Kanteens.

I got two 12 oz KK sippy cups for DD, and the paint has totally chipped on the bottom. (She likes to throw her cups...sigh.) The dents I can live with...the chipping paint? Should I throw them away (or recycle them) or is there a way to completely remove all the paint? I've found tiny bits of black paint chips on her high chair tray, so...?

I have a plain stainless kleen kanteen for ds. The other two are quite scratched/chipped up from him throwing them (one he "rubbed" on the driveway - oy). I wouldn't replace them but if you are going to buy new I would recommend the plain stainless.
