Ouch-clogged duct

Hoping someone has some advice here on what I can do. I went too long nursing DS a couple weeks ago while traveling across state. Our family was driving on vacation and trying to get to our destination. DS takes a bottle of formula as I work and so we gave him a couple of bottles for the drive, but now I have this annoying duct that is plugged, he also cannot nurse while distracted since he's 11 months. I have had MAJOR issues with plugged ducts in the past, so I usually am on lecithin to thin my milk, but forgot it on vacation. My milk is sticky and I get clogs very easily, it took much of my nursing time with my DD(4 years ago) to figure out that I needed the lecithin to thin my milk(I took it all of DS's pregnancy because I felt clogged as soon as I was pg). I also have been taking fenugreek to keep my supply really high so I can pump for DS the nights I work, but he ended up having such a high metabolism in the 5 hours I am gone he eats 9 oz of milk, dinner(solids) and has to have 1-2 bottles of formula.

Anyway I now have a "hot spot" that is one tiny duct that is very plugged, I'm back on my lecithin, I've taken hot showers, I've pulled goo from that spot and yet I still see a clog, I can see and feel the exact plugged spot. He's been nursing it won't budge, any ideas? It's is hurting pretty badly and driving me crazy Thanks

My I suggest two things:

1. Nurse with the chin in line with plug.

2. Get on your hands and knees and nurse.....If you can do this and get the chin in line with the plug all the better.

Hang in there. I had this in Feb. I had my 4yr old nurse it out. My 1yrs was not doing the job.

Ive sterilized a needle and gotten it to open with out it hurting.
My plugged ducts have been caused from the surface of my nipples being blocked. I dont mean to actually stick a needle into your nipple.

I know this sounds really gross and its probably not the best thing to do, but Ive had to do it a few times and had immediate relief. It also prevented mastitis and the pain was so insane I was desperated to do anything.
