Oh nuts, I think I need name help

So, we had a name all picked out for our little girl (due Nov.). I'll try to keep the story short. Dh teaches 8th grade. He let the kids suggest names last spring. Girl named Rachel suggests her name. We pair it with Rachel Quinn and we love it. Sigh. Fast forward to now. Dh coaches varsity soccer. Same girl Rachel is on his team as a freshman. She has turned majorly disrespectful and is encouraging other team members to conspire against dh. Dh has a hard time with names in the first place since he associates so many of them with students. He NEVER forgets a name, never forgets a face. Now, we're just not sure.

We've actually told people this name because we really like it. He might get over it. But he might not. So, hit me up with some similar ones? We have two kids already - Will (William) and Allison (frequently Aly). Thinking that we'll keep the middle name Quinn. Not sure if I'd like that as a first name.

Sigh. Cannot believe this is going on...

Well, my name is Rachel so I'm partial

But other names that might work are:
Lauren
Rebekah (or Rebecca)
Kathryn
Emily (my sis spells it Emmalie)

I would vote for names with double L's to match the other two names. How about Kelly Quinn or Molly Quinn?

How about spelling it Rachael instead? You keep the name but change the spelling and association to the student.

Molly Quinn gets my vote. That is absolutely beautiful... but then I'm completely biased towards Molly.

You know you're a nerd when... I've (sadly) seen people consider this one. But I also know babies named Thor, Ares, and Athena. It must be my town.

I LOVE Molly Quinn too, beautiful suggestion!

I probably would change the name because of the association to the student. I would go for something less common as well, so there would be less of a chance of having many students with the name.

That is the problem when one parent is a teacher - too many bad associations!! My dh taught high school for 12 years.

Thanks for all the awesome suggestions! He thinks that he's going to still be okay with Rachel. Thank goodness because that the one I want!

Yay!!! Rachel is such a great name, I really love it. It sounds great as a kid, and as an adult it is still a classic. If my name wasn't Rachel, I'd totally be naming one of my kids Rachel!
