Hi Ladies,
Im new to this group and looking for some advice on a previous 4th degree tear. I posted in the trauma birth section.
I have two cute kiddos. Kalea age 5 and AJ age 19mo. My son was born with Craniosynostosis. He underwent major surgery to correct it at age 9mo. He's doing fantastic now.
So glad there is this site to just talk about mothering and issues.

4th degree also!

Hi there, I also suffered from 4th degree tears not once but twice with both births. The second time around was much worse than the first as I also had a pelvic bone separation and was unable to walk for a few days. I had six months of recovery and now I have to go back in for "repair" work. Everything is functioning fine, just needs some work. I would love to have another baby but am TERRIFIED of the thought of going through it again! My doc seems to think that there is a chance that it might not happen but I don't want to take that chance!!!

How was your recovery and would you have another child?
