Pooping in public

DD, 13 months, doesn't poop in public. Often, she will get really whiny when we are out, cry all the way home, poop about 2 minutes after she gets home, and then is fine. Anyone else?

That has been us since DD (now 22mths) was about a month old. Because of this we ECed from 4-8 months for poos. Though we never had the whiny thing.

I'm 37 and I won't poop in public! Ugh, those awful bathrooms... I actually know quite a few adults who are the same, so maybe it's just the way some people are?

I also have a friend who carries a potty around in her car since her DD won't poop OR pee in public, and she's almost 5.

Not ready to potty train yet, but yeah, I'm another adult who won't poop in public unless it's an absolute emergency. I have been known to drive like a maniac to get home to do so in a hurry (no, not with the baby in the car for anyone wondering).

I have the opposite issue. Sitting in the pediatrician's office and DS starts grunting and pushing and his eyes start watering. Then the beautiful poop noises. And then he looks at me, squeals, and claps.

I could have died. He loves making poos in public.

DS1 never pooped in public either - and DS2 now also isn't doing it when we are out and about. DS1 was EC'd and DS2 is.
