This will be our 3rd year HSing but our first time trying out structured learning time....and we're excited about it!
From day one I associated with the unschooling side of life but always had issues classifying myself in that way simply because my kids were so young. But....so many of my peers were doing hours of work with their 4,5 & 6 year olds & I definitely didn't fit into that category! (We've literally done nothing because, well, they're young).
Anyway, DD1 is 7.5 & is ready for more. So, I've compiled some random books & curricula & last week we sat down to look at it all & talk about how we want to go about organizing ourselves. We've decided an hour a day for 4 days a week will be enough.
We went so far as to lay out what we want to do each day of the week & in an odd way, it feels freeing. We're both looking forward to sitting down and learning together!
Send all your love & good vibes & prayers our way as we embark on this new direction in the journey.
