i moved you from mid-may to the 28th.

sadly, no prizes. due dates are just the obviously way to organize our members. also, once may rolls around, it will give us a general idea of who's next up to deliver.

I hope it's okay that I jump in here! I joined the April DDC because I found out before this DDC ever opened up and I figure I'll go in April anyways but since my due date is actually in May and the doc has bumped it back on me I figured I'd join in. So here's my info:

-Name: Brittney
-Age: 24
-EDD: early May (My calculations are May 1st; doc & us said May 6)
-Location: the south (currently in LA)
-1st child/2nd/3rd...: 3rd
-Family: DH, DD and DS
-Baby's gender: don't know yet but I think boy and the heartrate sounded like a boy to me!
-Names: ? We're tossing a few around but nothing certain yet
-Birth plans/preferences: Looks like I'll be going UP/UC
-Absolutely anything else under the sun: I'm really excited about this baby! It was a surprise but I think the timing is great. I'd originally wanted 2 - 2 yrs apart then wait until they were about 4 & 6 and have 2 more but we decided to stop at 2 and rethink it later. This surprise baby will be born and DD and DS will turn 4 & 6 shortly after. My plan worked! When will dh realize I'm always right?

Actually, my friend convinced her doctor to let her bring hers! She merely stated she wanted a home water birth and he told her he couldn't go to her house because of his obligations to being at the hospital, but offered to let her bring it in! I'm so stoked for her!

Name - Fern

Age - 30

EDD - May 21-25 ish

Location - Aberdeen, Scotland

!st/2nd/3rd - this will be my 3rd

family - Husband, 4yr old son and nearly 2 yr old daughter

gender - we were shooting for a girl so it will be interesting to see if there's any truth in the methods we were (somewhat halfheartedly) experimenting with - we don't really mind either way.  We won't find out this time until the birth, although we did with the last two.

names - we don't decide till after birth but some we're kicking around are Summer, Heidi, Zena, Isis, Anya, Isla for a girl and Xander, Theo, Leo, Rafa for a boy.

Birth plans/preferences - have homebirthed with the last two so will probably go the same way though have not decided for sure yet - had more complications early on with this one (subchorionic [sp?] hematoma) but hopefully that will have cleared up by then?

-Name: Jennifer
-Age: 33
-EDD: May 11, but given baby's size they said May 5 last apt, but it's not been officially changed.
-Location: Somewhere in Wisconsin
-1st child/2nd/3rd...: Second
-Family: DH Clint, DS Gideon, fishies, frog, hamster - shadow, mourning dove - Serenity (he was a wild orphan that we raised)
-Baby's gender: We think a girl. Heartbeats: 11 weeks: 150, 12 weeks: 150, 15 weeks: 160. DH dreamed it was a girl, early and big - before we knew it's big, heartbeat sped up a lot, and it's measuring a week ahead. DS dreams it's a girl and is sure he's got his sister he wanted.
-Names: Girl sticks from 8 years ago. Boy... hoping not to have to come up with one as we have really hard times with boy names.
-Birth plans/preferences: None other than as little intervention as possible. No rushing with medicines unless my or baby's life in danger. Aiming for a midwife attended hospital birth. Will see if I can get into her in January when I'm done with my current HCP
-Absolutely anything else under the sun: Excited to be at/near the movement period of the pregnancy. Been really feeling pretty good. I keep saying I don't really feel pregnant, just tired, lol. Can't wait to know gender for sure so we can buy clothes! I've noticed there's very little gender neutral choices out there, lol.
