I'm looking for a few painting boards. And some painting paper, actually (for wet on wet). Any good/favorite sources?

TIA!

I've seen them at hobby lobby and I'm pretty sure michaels would have them as well because they carry canvases.

go to a decent lumber store, grab veneered plywood scraps (if they have some, they usually will in a variety of veneers), and then take it home and sand the heck out of it.

then, beeswax and oil to polish (recipes online somewhere).

Paper, Scissors, Stone. The painting boards they have are not wooden, but rather a white melamine (?) material. This is so you can wipe it down afterwards and you won't have to worry about paint transfer. These types of boards were recommended by Ms. Marsha from the waldorf home educators yahoo group.

Paper, Scissors, Stone is where I get the bulk of my homeschooling materials and they have excellent customer service!

Hope this helps!

we started using our old ikea wood cutting boards many moons ago for the painting times. they totally work and i am so glad to have them. they were affordable back when we bought them and i like that we could re-use instead of buy something new. (although i do enjoy nova, palumba and paper, rock, scissors quite frequently!)

Another reminder needed, please: What kind of watercolor paper should I get in order to do wet on wet....?

Thanks!
