Help! We've been toilet learning with our 2.5 yr old dd, wearing underwear for the past 2 weeks or so. Going well for pee-pee - only a few accidents. But she doesn't get poop on the potty. For the first week and a half, she was pooping in her underwear, like she was her diaper. But for the past 4 days, she's been holding it in. She went poo on the potty 2 days ago after not going for 2 days and now it's been 2 more days and she hasn't gone. I know she realizes that underwear is not the right place to poop, so I think she's holding it/constipating herself, but nothing happens on the potty.
2 days ago after lots of prunes, etc, she sat on the potty for EVER and finally pooped, but she was scared and said her tush hurt. All day today she's been complaining that her tush hurts and holding her bottom. It's so sad. I know she needs to go and have even offered her a diaper to go in. I've given her prunes, diluted fruit juice (she doesn't usually have juice), walked around, tummy massage, talked to her, sat on the potty reading stories for ages...NOTHING!
