Every year I like to introduce myself to something new and since visiting the Prairies and seeing all the beautiful flax fields I decided to try flax and chestnut chick peas (which didn't grow).

Well the flax grew well and now I am not sure about harvesting and storing. Plants have turned yellow and look like they are drying out, do I just let them completely dry up, open them up and let the seeds fall out?

That seems too easy ..what would you store it in and would you put it in the cupboard, fridge, or freezer?

Do you grind it into a powder or leave them whole?
