The Fabulous ONE Thread - Aug. 29 - Sept. 4 - Page 2

Well, still waiting to O! I got really sick last week, and I guess it delayed my O date. Today is CD18, and I usually O on CD15 or 16. We had decided to hold off on BD this month, since I was sick and getting shot up with a bunch of different meds. Now I'm only on antibiotics; anyone know if there's any reason we can't try while on amoxicillin?

outsideofthebox - thats going to be a really tough call, becuase it is so dependant on your cycle length and when you ovultate. CD1 for me was Aug 13, so I am now CD 18 and haven't O'd yet (which is typical for me, but late for many other people). So if you have longer cycles, you may not have O'd yet; if you have short to "normal" cycles, you would have likely already O'd. As for CM...what you are describing doesn't sound like EWCM, but it may be. Are you checking internally? I typically get a more accuare reading by checking CM "at the source." As for preggo mucus, mine dried up, then increased right when implantation would have occurred, then driend up again, then came back a lot during the 1st trimester. I had a pretty, um, damp pregnancy . My advice - just keep DTD and hope for the best!! Fingers crossed!

Stevi and Silverbird - sorry

me - CD18. Temp still down this morning thankfully, since DH was "too tired" from his "camping trip" (which consists of sitting around drinking beer and sleeping in a tent...so not that exhausting) to BD. So....tonight it is. Faint line on the opk yesterday...so maybe I will get a real line today? Does it work that way at all?

Hello Ladies! Hope everyone had a great weekend. Today is CD 13 and BD week. I only started TTC and charting halfway through last cycle and Oed on CD 17, so I'm BDing EOD this week starting yesterday until CM starts really getting fertile, then we'll BD ED. Hopefully this month it sticks. Who wouldn't want a June baby?!?

Baby dust to everyone!!!

oustide - Well, my LMP was the 18th and I'm getting ready to O probably tomorrow or Wednesday... not sure if that helps at all because everyone's cycle varies so widely. You may or may not have O'd already. I find the best way to check CM is to swirl it around my cervix and bring it down... if I check it externally, I don't get enough or what is ACTUALLY on my cervix. My EWCM doesn't show up externally until the 2nd day of actually having it internally. With both of my pregnancies, my CM did not change from my normal monthly CM cycle until after I already had my BFP so for me, it wasn't a good pregnancy indicator. I know it can be for some.. I've heard of women getting EWCM right before a BFP.

motray - Yes, it always has worked for me that way... my OPKs would start out light and then get darker until they finally were super dark and ready to get preggy! I used OPKs to get pregnant with my daughter after 2 years of trying so I <3 them! They are wonderful! Good luck!

Stevi -- So sorry about the short cycle. That just sucks

gringuitica -- Nope, no reason not to try... not sure if it would help or hurt your chances. Good luck !

AFM: I didn't think there was ANY WAY POSSIBLE to get a BD in last night with how tired I was but DH said "Don't worry, you don't have to do ANYTHING, including getting undressed" so yeah, he SERIOUSLY did EVERYTHING. What girl wouldn't want that? He seems more into this TTC thing then I do lately. So we're still on a great schedule for BDing and hopefully I'll O tomorrow or Wednesday!
Oh and it's been almost 2 years since I've been able to look at cloth diapers... and of all things that have made me excited to be TTCing again, this one DEFINITELY tops it. I'm scared to actually buy any... but ohhhhh the call of the fluff is hard to resist!!! (And I still have all of my fluff from DD so I have everything I NEED but well, I must have MORE!)

I wish I started checking sooner. I would like to know if it has happened yet. My cycle is average I think. Last night and today my CM is creamy and it doesn't string.
Thank you Attached2Elijah for your reply.

if you havnt had a dark line yet with 5-6 PM urine you probably wont ov for a few days at least. when it does get dark, then you know you have 1-2 days until you ovulate. and yes it can go from light one day, to pos the next day, happens to me all the time! lol

CD19 here, and finally had a temp rise. My last cycle was only 25 days with an 8 day luteal phase, so I am not feel super hopeful about my fertility at the moment. I've been taking a B-complex vitamin so maybe that will help.

The weather here is cold and rainy - we even had to turn on the heating last night. It is totally not helping my mood.

Just Lily- Its cold and rainy here too.

I think I ovulated last night. I had some really strong O pains. DH and I dtd twice yesterday. So I hope that helps. I am starting to have a little more hope for this cycle. I think its safe to move me to Waiting to Know. I think I am 1 DPO.

We must be in the same weather pattern. We are NW of Calgary.

And we are also cycle buddies! I am tentatively 1DPO as well.

I have cramps today. I am not starting because I don't start until around the 13th. It feels like period cramping but I know it is not.
Would this be O? Yesterday my CM was creamy and earlier this morning too.
We DTD so I don't know what it is anymore.
Just curious.
outsideofthebox: Could definitely be O cramps!

Attached2Elijah: Your DH sounds pretty wonderful! It sure helps when he's as interested in TTC as you are.

Lydiah and just lily: Cold and rainy here too, and I'm about 5 hours east of you. I absolutely refused to turn the heating on last night, but ended up using extra blankets to be warm enough to sleep!

AFM: CD12 today, expecting ovulation sometime between Wednesday and Friday. But trying to DTD as much as possible, just in case it's earlier! I'm REALLY hoping I ovulate by Friday, because DH has his SA the following Tuesday and he's supposed to abstain for 3 days beforehand. So no BD between Saturday and Tuesday.

Luckily for me, I'm only on CD 6, so won't be O-ing for another eight to ten days. I got so very sunburned this weekend, so I don't feel like being touched at all, let alone BD. I'll surely feel better in time to BD when it counts!

Yay! First ever positive OPK! (ok, this is my first cycle using them, so it's not a huge deal...but it still exciting!)

vivica2 - I've been doing them at 2:45 every day, didn't realize I should be shooting for even later in the day, is that better? Will keep that in mind if I need them next cycle.

So BD tonight, yes? OK to skip tomorrow and DTD again on Wed? Don't know if I can convince DH to do 3 nights in a row, since he is still kind of in "seeing what happens" mode. He's good with EOD

So this am, I woke up at 5:15am because a transformer nearby blew by our apt, causing us to lose electricity. I ended up stumbling out to the living room, trying to find our only battery operated clock so I wouldn't be late for school! After I went back to bed, I didn't really fall back asleep because I was panicking about how I was going to get ready for school in complete darkness! Anyway, the power did come back on, but I didn't temp until 6am, which is when I normally temp, and my temp was a little lower than usual. This has happened on a few other occasions when I was startled awake by something. I'm just wondering if this has happened to anyone else? It seems backwards that my temp would go down once I start moving around, but that seems to be the case for me!

If you are startled awake like that, is it better to wait and temp at the normal time you do it? Or take the temp when you wake up because you have just come out of sleep?

Also..just wondering if I have any cycle buddies out there? I'm 4DPO.

ok a few things:
1- you always start AF on the 13th of the month? that is very specific and it would be extremely rare for that to be true. some months are 31 days some 28 , and our cycles fluctuate usually with the moon, that might be a better way to track instead of dates. just an idea.

2- creamy CM means you are most likely not fertile. if it was watery, or eggwhite texture it could be ovulation. (of corse this is not true for everyone, but it is for a vast majority)

i know that i usually o 2 days after my first pos opk (except this cycle...) so if it were me and i had 2 days to DTD i would to the day after the pos opk and the day after that (to hit day before o and day of o)
good luck!

If your cycle is 31 days like mine is, its quite possible to start the same day of the month, give or take a day. My last few cycles have started on the 12th. But I totally get what you are saying.

I dont see why not. I am on erythromycin and we decided to go for it anyways. I will be finished in a couple days, well before implantation would even happen. I got really sick too. A bad case of strep throat.

Below was copied from FF study of 93,184 charts.
Results:
Average Day Past Ovulation (DPO) for the first positive pregnancy test: 13.6 DPO
Average DPO for the first "false" negative test result: 10.3 DPO
Percentage of pregnancy charts with a positive test at 10 DPO: 10%
Percentage of pregnancy charts which show negative results before a positive result: 17%
Average time between the expected period and the first positive pregnancy test: 0.5 days before the expected period.
Percentage of negative test results taken three days or more before the expected period day on non pregnant charts: 40.7%

I usually don't test earlier because I feel more disappointed by a BFN than seeing my temp drop on day of expected AF.

AFM ~ Just took my last SI dose last night. I took 40mg on CD3-4 and 80mg on CD5-7. The increase in dosage was not planned. I did some more research and it seemed the most common dose was 80mg so I decided to up it. The only side effect I had was being emotional - short on patience and easy to cry.
We were planning on trying SMEP this month but DH just left this morning for KY. He will be back on Friday night, which will be CD12 for me. So that puts a kink in the SMEP schedule. He suggested we just BD every day when he gets back for about a week. So hopefully I will O a little sooner than I have been so he doesn't get too worn out by the time O comes around.
