I was contemplating getting a food processor because most of the meals i make involve vegetable chopping...... slicing carrots... slicing potatoes... garlic.. onions... even broccoli and cauliflower, breaking it up to cook more evenly etc........ i was just wondering who uses a food processor and whether they use cuisinart or not?

I'm not sure what brand mine is but I LOVE it.
Sometimes I don't mind chopping veggies (cooking can be calming for me) but when I'm in a hurry or feeling tapped out for the day? I LOVE having the option to run them through the food processor.
Other uses:
- Breadcrumbs (I let the pieces we don't use go stale and then use the blade option)
- Slicer blade (usually comes with it) to make CHIPS!
They make small ones if you don't want to take up a lot of space. My MIL has one. It's cute.

I have a Bosch and we use it almost daily. I love the grater wheel on it - we grate cheese and freeze it, grate veggies, whatever. It also has a slicer wheel that we use less often. I use the bowl and beaters all the time to make butter - talk about slick!! My daughter the chef uses it for batters a lot. It's also our blender. The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't have the chopping blades. It's a weird food processor. It's also freaking huge - we are in the process of buying a stand for it that will double as a bread kneading counter (lower than our kitchen counter) because it takes up way too much room on the counter.

I have a KA w 2 bowls and i love it. I dont use it daily though. But for thd things i do use it for, its indespensible. Making mayo or pesto, grinding pork rinds for breading, or occasionally getting a really fine chop on onions (when i want them to melt into a dish).
Most tiny little fps arent worth the box they come in IME. But the small work bowl on my KA gets the most use.

Yep, I love my food processor. I have a Cuisinart and haven't had any problems with it. It is great with kiddos. I use it to dice the veggies really tiny so that they are less noticeable. I shred cabbage for slaw or sauerkraut, chop onions, shred carrots, you name it. It makes my life so much easier.

I have a cuisinart. I love it. I don't actually use it that much for veggies (though if I ever need to shred carrots I'm NOT doing it by hand!) but I use it a lot for snacks. Things like energy nut balls (where I need to grind up almonds and grind together with dates, etc) or granola-ish bars. It's the thing in my kitchen that is the most of a pain to clean (getting in the nooks and crannies of the lid assembly and not slicing myself with the blade) but when I need it I am SO happy I have it. If I were doing a big cooking day with lots of veggie prep, I would use it for sure. But I tend to spread cooking out throughout the week and even a big pot meal that will have leftovers doesn't take me that much longer to chop by hand, the time comes in the washing and peeling usually.
