Books on CD Suggestions, Please.

We're going to be taking a long roadtrip next month (about 10 hours each way) and now that DS is 2 yrs. I think he would probably be engaged and entertained by books on CD. I'm have some that I'm going to borrow from my old classroom - a 2 CD set of Dr. Seuss and another 2-CD set of Frog and Toad.

I'd love some more suggestions! I was excited to see a Little Bear collection, but the reviews suggested that Sigourney Weaver's reading left something to be desired. I also saw a "classic" Curious George collection that seemed pretty well reviewed.

What else??

going on a bear hunt has an excellent CD... it has more than just the story, and when I was teaching head start, I used to play it during nap time. The kids LOVED it.

I also really love Where the Wild Things Are as a book on CD. I don't know if your DS might be scared by this book. My DS isn't and I never was as a child, but it's a good book on CD.

Other than that, really any book that your child loves would be good to get on CD. You might even be able to just check them out from the library.

Oh, and I don't know how you feel about videos, but the Scholastic has a wonderful collection of videos of favorite children's stories. My favorites in that series are chicka chicka boom boom and Strega Nona... both seem to be a big hit with kids.

DD absolutely LOVES the Gruffalo's Child that is on CD.

ETA. I just saw your last post. You could always take multiple CDs and burn them onto one.
