Bad reaction to supps?

I guess I do not tolerate vitamins well. Couldn't take prenatals with my other kids, because they make me sick and also I just feel "weird", like not myself. So I decided to start taking just a few individual pills based on what I need for TTC and to deal with a few health issues. I am only taking calcium, magnesium, zinc, folic acid, B6, cranberry and acidophilus. But it happened again! Which is the culprit do you think? I know there are mamas that know so much more about vitamins and possible reactions than I do. I feel tired, lightheaded, profoundly irritable and overwhelmed, anxious, and almost buzzy, like having had too much coffee, but tired too. Its just weird. I am not having PMS, AF is just finishing. Any ideas?

I know that Zinc isn't good on an empty stomach, and I know that I personally can't tolerate Calcium in any form, without it making me nauseous. People on here have talked about folic acid vs. folate for pregnant women and people in general, so I'm not going to go into that here. Personally, all the prenatals of every form, made me either nauseous or vomit while I was pregnant with all 3 of my kids, so I didn't take them. It is what it is. If I were to do it again (which I'm not), I know I'd take Mg, and I'd probably be sure to get my folate, and then look at my diet to see what else I needed. Are you seeing a doctor who could tell you which ones are most important in terms of development? Any supplement could be giving you issues due to other ingredients in them, so it's hard to say.

Look at the additives and see if there is any commonality. For me it's magnesium stearate. Not good for anyone--but makes me so nauseous!

You may need to try introducing them one at a time. The PPs suggestion of a problematic filler is a good thing to consider. Thorne is pretty good about high quality ingredients, they've got B complex with real folate, if you want to swap out any of the brands you've got.

Nothing on the list stands out as horribly problematic. Maybe wait on the acidophilus? Some people are really sensitive to probiotics, but mostly it's the high potency types.

One thing to consider is cell salts. They've really seemed to take off the harsh edges of things for us--they just seem to make things work better and easier. Maybe get some bioplasma (the 12-in-1 kind) first and take that for a couple weeks to start? A bottle isn't expensive about $9 plus shipping if you buy online (I've never seen them local to me), but that may make things easier.

I'm sorry for the shotgun approach to ideas, it's just that nothing there is high likelihood of causing problems, at least not that I can see.
