Thomas/IKEA train question

Hi all, does anybody here happen to know how the magnets are attached to the trains on these sets?
Are they just little glued buttons, are they deeply anchored, or all one piece?

Obviously I am concerned over a detached magnet being swallowed!

I am not sure how it is attached. But I have never heard of them detaching and being swallowed. I know you worry but I think the trains are pretty safe!

We have IKEA & Thomas trains. Both have the magnets screwed into the train itself, not glued on. None of ours have detached.

we have both and have never had a magnet detach and DS is really rough with them. Actually the Thomas ones are even hand me downs.
