Hi there! I've tried searching for this for hours and finally decided just to post in the hopes of getting some ideas. We use cloth wipes with our daughter but have yet to find a perfect wipes solution that will work for both diaper changes and everyday, on-the-go cleanups. Our girl LOVES to stick her fingers, toes, and anything else in her mouth as we're cleaning her, and it's not always possible to rinse before that happens, so we need a solution that's edible. We'd also love something that gets rid of gunk a little better than water, has antibacterial/antifungal properties, and doesn't spoil (or, at least doesn't spoil quickly). Something that could also clean surfaces (but doesn't contain vinegar, which my partner absolutely despises) would be AMAZING! Here are some of the things I've read about adding to water:
Chamomile tea (which I'm pretty sure must spoil fairly quickly)
Grapeseed oil
Lavender oil
Almond oil
Coconut oil (but, since it's solid at room temp, I don't know how well it would work without having to heat it every time we use it)
Olive oil
Castille soap (not sure how edible)
Tea tree oil (again, edible?)
Peppermint oil
Lemon juice
Citrus oil
Aloe vera
There are others, I know, but these were what seemed to appear most. Anyone willing to weigh in about which of these - and/or others - would maybe work...and blend together well enough to make a viable solution? I'd be sooooooooo grateful! Thanks in advance, mamas!
