Oh my heavens above.
I am tandem nursing a 3 year and 1 year old. I have thrush on one side (the 3 year old's side) so badly that it's cracked and bleeds every time latches on. Not to mention the deep breast pain (although that seems somewhat improved today). I don't know what to do. I don't want to nurse him.
It hurts too much. And he's sad because I don't want to nurse him. And I'm sad because I don't want to nurse him. BUT IT HURTS!!
I've been using miconazole cream between every feeding to no effect (except maybe the lack of deep breast pain today means progress?) and haven't nursed him since yesterday, though he wants to nurse RIGHT NOW.
Instead, I pumped and gave him bottles.. which is ridiculous, considering we've got this far without them.
