It definitely looks like a boy. Also remember that the tech sees a lot more than these screen shots she saved for you. She is seeing your baby in real time and maybe got a closer look but just couldn't get a good picture of it.

Naw...that's definitely the genitalia. You can see the cord floating where the other end of the arrow is (not the pointy end, but the flat end).

Thanks for your opinions, everyone. I'm wishing there had been a 100% consensus, though!! I'm going to take the photo to my midwife tomorrow & get her opinion too... hoping she's seen a few of these to be familiar with them!

What you see in the pic is exactly how it looked in real life. The baby wasn't cooperating & that was the best view the u/s tech could get. I definitely don't think it's the cord or a foot, because those were positioned differently at the time.
