What's your favorite MOONG DAL recipe?

I just found a 2 lb bag of split moong beans in my cabinet and I'm not sure how they got there or what to do with them.

Any suggestions?!

I just make them into dal - saute onion garlic, panch phora, salt, turmeric. Cover with stock or water and simmer until cooked. add garam masala and queeze of lemon and serve with cilatro on top. Yum.

You can also make kitchree, a rice and daal dish. Basically follow the above directions for daal, add enough rice + liquid, and boil/steam down. It's such good kiddie/sick food.

You can also grind the daal and make roits with the flour, or make pakoras (fried yumminess) - google it..I'm not a pakora maker
