Hi everyone! I hope you are all doing well and feeling great as we count down the final weeks. Sarah, I just read about your BP. That stinks! Hold on...not much longer now!
So we just got back from a road trip to NYC - DS, DH, my mom, my stepdad and I. DH and I go often but haven't since before DS was born. We rented a massive Yukon to go in style (so not our style but so comfy!!!). It rained for a few days but we didn't let that stop us and we ended the week in sunshine, walking the High Line and visiting galleries in Chelsea. Breakfast at Balthasar too....yummmyyyyyyy! DS went nutso for the horse-drawn carriages, screaming "neigghhhh" from up on DH's shoulders at the top of his lungs. He also loved the taxis, buses and all the noise. Uh oh, he might be a big city kid after all (we live in the woods!).
DH stunned me with new earrings from "our guy" in the diamond district - one for each of the sons we've made together.
All in all it was an amazing week, despite my seriously achy hips and the fact that even my mat clothes are too small now. I felt so frumpy compared to all the fancy babes in Soho!
Anyway, I've been looking forward to this week for ages because it signifies the end of work outside the home for me (last day was Friday before we left) and also that the final countdown is officially on!
I'm on pins and needles waiting for us all to pop!!
