Morning sickness different w/ subsequent pregnancy?

When I was pregnant with my son a few years ago I experienced near-constant m/s including occasional throwing up, which I did about once a week for a period spanning six weeks or so. This time around I am nauseous on a regular basis, but I haven't thrown up at all. I'm 9w6d so it seems like if that were going to happen it would have started by now.

I really shouldn't complain about that, but I'm a bit obsessed with analyzing my m/s and hoping that it means a viable pregnancy. I am terrified of miscarriage (I've had one) especially a missed miscarriage. I haven't heard the heartbeat yet and won't get the chance for another two weeks, so this will weigh heavily on my mind until then.

I am still nursing my son, and I know some people say that makes m/s not so bad. However he's only nursing about 5 times a day, and there's not really much milk... so I'm not sure if that's really a factor.

Please share your experiences!

each time my sickness was different. With my loss, I would get sick with certain foods and not with others (loss was at 13 weeks, so I went through all the morning sickness before losing the baby!) With DS I would throw up ANYTHING I ate no matter the time of day. DD I would be sick some days and totally fine others. With this DD, I would get sick in the mornings but after noon I would just get really nauseous and feel like I would get sick (but never did)

Honestly, I think it's one of those things that just depends on the person. My morning sickness has gotten progressively worse each pregnancy (lucky me!) but I've heard some women say the opposite.

Pregnancy after a loss can be really hard and stressful. The anxiety can really get to you, and it is easy to analyze every little thing.

My morning sickness has been worse, so much so that we aren't having any more kids....but with my mom, she had 5 kids, and it got better with each, so that the last 2 kids she had NO morning sickness at all (she had twins the first, but she said the pregnancy after that was worse)

With DS I felt nauseous about twice, for very short periods only, like 15 minutes. I just wasn't into food in the first trimester. This time, I was very sick, threw up a lot combined with the food aversion... Each pregnancy is different!

Thanks everyone. I am trying so hard to remain peaceful, since I know this is out of my hands. I can't wait for my appointment in two weeks!

Well perhaps I spoke too soon...

Are you feeling sick now? I was very ill with my first, not at all with my second, and so-so with my third, so every pregnancy is different!

I've been nauseous for quite awhile, but tonight was the first time that I threw up. It was really the absence of throwing up that was worrying me... it sounds so ridiculous! I have been trying to remind myself that every pregnancy is different, I just don't have that firsthand experience yet.

I've had 6 different pregnancies... All 6 were different and unique in their own ways. I was the sickest with my 4th, had no sickness with my 3rd and was nausea for a bit during my miscarriage pregnancy.
