Boots for a very active 4.5 year old DS?

Tell me about the winter boots that you've bought for your DS. What brand are they and where did you purchase them? I'm looking for casual, everyday boots that he can wear with jeans, cords, etc., Not necessarily the rainboot type, but more the lace up/velcro straps.

He's an extremely active 4 year old. LOVES to be outside, run around, climb - your typical pre-schooler. Looking for something that will last this entire Fall/Winter season!!

I've seen some on Zappos.com that might work, but I need to justify spending the $50-$60 first.

We like Lands End snowboots. They seem a bit more flexible than most.

We love Bogs! They are rubber slip-on boots, very durable, flexible, stay on, are waterproof, and warm to -30 degrees. My son's have a spider theme (so look like Spiderman boots), and we purchased them at REI. He wears them both in the summer (rain/mud) and winter. Bogs can be purchased on-line, too.

For snowboots, Tundra brand is AWESOME! I snagged some for a discount on 6pm, but would gladly pay full price for them.

I also second BOGS, I got a pair secondhand for myself and I love them.

BOGS are fabulous, got a pair for DD last spring, and she loves them. Her feet are dry and toasty.
