Yeast Infection while TTC

Thread Starter
I am currently in my fourth month of ttc. I am a lesbian and am using a known donor. We did intra-vaginal inseminations at home and yesterday was our fourth time. Today I am feeling a lot of itchiness and am worried I have a yeast infection. What can I do for it? I'm worried it will affect my body's ability to ovulate or for implantation to occur. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

Semen can definitely do that to you! The two natural remedies you hear most often are plain yogurt and apple cider vinegar. Plain yogurt seems more gentle, especially since you're TTC, but if the semen is reducing your vaginal acidity maybe apple cider vinegar is the way to go? I would think you'd want to wait a day or two after your insem to make sure not to disrupt it with the extra acidity. I'm not an expert at all, so hopefully others can weigh in! Maybe also try probiotics by mouth, and watch your sugar/carb intake to discourage the yeast growth.

FWIW, I don't think a mild yeast infection should affect ovulation or implantation. Best of luck to you! Hope you get soon!
