Where do you buy bulk beans?

I found an 8 lb bag of pinto beans at wal-mart for about $6, which is like getting one 2lb bag free (at normal $1/lb price).

But for black beans, navy and kidney beans, I'd like to find a really good source for buying in bulk since we go thru them.

I found this: http://www.bulkfoods.com/beans.asp but their prices are worse than buying them by the bag.

Any suggestions?

*BUMP* Any ideas??

I get mine at the local produce stand, beans are very popular here so they have all kinds in multi-pound bags all over. I've never bought beans online so I can't recommend a site.

You might try and see if you have a local food coop or a health food store, nothing as mainstream as whole foods if you can help it as they are very expensive. I live close to a food coop that sells organic dry goods in bulk for cheap.

I often buy them at the Bulk Barn in a nearby city.

I just buy things like that locally. I would think it could cost more in shipping than one would save if one ordered online

Thanks for the suggestions -- I will check out the local food coops...
