night time feedings = gassy?

So I have noticed that when I nurse my babe while I lay down at night it sounds very different. It sounds "gulpy" but what it is is an intake of air. I can hear the little bubbles in his tummy as well as feel them. In the morning he is a little toot machine. I burp him but nothing happens. I am wondering why it happens. The only difference between day and night nursings is that I am laying down too. What could be the reason? I guess I will sit up and nurse till I figure it out but I do like being able to doze while hr eats as he likes to quite often at night.

DS gets that way too but it also happens when he is sleepy and I'm sitting up feeding him. I think it is because he doesn't burp during/after feedings even when I try to help him. He's not bothered by it but I find it very amusing when he stirs at night, toots, and then goes right back to sleep. It just seems like such a boy thing to do.

Ha! Yea my little one even kicks his little butt back like he's aiming. It's super cute!
