Almost desperate for some free time

I am a new mom in need of some advice. I have an eight week old baby girl that will not sleep anywhere but in my or her dad's arms. She will not allow us to put her anywhere to nap. I feel like I have tried everything...a swing (which she will sleep inbut for only about 45 minutes), several different carrirers (which she will last about ninety minutes)
I love being so close to her and knowing that she feels most comfortable with me or her dad but I know that I can't do this forever! I refuse to put her down and just let her CIO, but don't rush to take her out of her swing if she wakes up and fusses a bit.
Is this something she might grow out of? Or I am setting myself up for several years of being able to accomplish very little

My baby girl is six weeks and that's about all the free time I get during the day is a nap in the swing twice/three times a day.

I'm thankful if I can get a shower, answer a few emails or make a phone call. Fold some laundry if I'm lucky, lol

I think I held DD in my arms just about 24/7 for weeks. Eventually, we went for walks and she fell asleep in the carrier or stroller, but she was then in my arms when we got home.

She's now 10 months, and beginning to get very insistent that we put her on the floor to explore the house, the park, the balcony, and so on. Suddenly my babe in arms is beginning to find freedom!

So don't worry--it'll pass, and you'll slowly get your arms back.
