papa, hooray!! can't wait to hear all about your little one!!! ELV :vibe to you

lyndzies, yoo hoo, where are you??

beastie, i'm so glad that your dept chair took the news well! hope your trip home is enjoyable and you stay as well rested as possible...

coco, yay for movement, seeing the babes again on u/s and yay for lots of clothes and toys!! seems as you ladies are really moving right along in this pregnancy!!! it will be no time before it's you announcing DPs labor!

burg, awsome pics of your u/s... it's so amazing to see what the babe is like in there!!

monarch, wonderful pics!! i can't wait til you get and post more! i love the "dreamy" one, simply beautiful! and the halloween baby one is hilarious!!

afm, we had our first MW appt last night! it was fabulous!! we heard the babe's heartbeat (162 bpm) and i got to feel the top of my fundus, which is apparently "2 fingers" high. i told her i was starting to feel movement and it was nice to have her validate me about it... i had told a few ppl IRL and they thought i was crazy... "you don't feel the baby that early, it's probably just gas". um, no... i've never felt these sort of feelings before and gas has never made me feel like i was about to go on a roller coaster! the MW said if you think you feel it, then you are probably feeling it!

Wow, I can't believe that there's going to be another October baby already. I'm glad that your induction is going well! Don't forget to post a birth announcement over in the DDC once she actually arrives.

(Thread crashing, but I had to peek over here and stalk my fellow October parents )

She's here!

6 lbs 8 oz, 4:09 AM 10/3/10 - no length yet.

After my water broke, I laboured for 12 hours and no change to my cervix. Then came Pitocin.

She was born 4 hours later, after 15 minutes of pushing.

No epidural, nothing for pain except my awesome birth team and their hip squeezes.

And one very tired L & D nurse who was so sick of trying to keep a fetal heart monitor on me after several hours of me flinging myself around.

The cord insertion was pretty scary. Good thing she hung on tight, never a moment's worry, her heart rate was fine the entire time APGAR 8 and 9.

I have some skid marks, no tears.

Congratulations, Papa!

At long last! Wonderful news! I've got goosebumps, and tears in my eyes. My little one saw the picture and said, "Hi, baby!" And to think we worked so hard for these magical babes! I'm so thrilled for you!

(And a super high five to you for pitocin without pain meds! Wow!)

ps. I think I OD'd this post on exclamation marks.
