has anyone changed doctors around 25 weeks in St Louis?

I'm strongly considering changing doctors since my last ob appointment this Monday. However, I'm right around 25 weeks and I know a lot of doctors don't like taking on patients after the 20 week mark or so. Also, I'm on blood pressure medication, but otherwise things are just peachy with my pregnancy so I haven't been considering high risk at all. Anyone know anyone that is open to taking on patients further along?

I can't speak to any specific doctor but I would encourage you to start making calls and find out. If you are feeling the need to change, do it!

I switched at 30 weeks bc my doctor was not as supportive of vbac as I thought he was. Each appointment, he was getting more panicky.

The doctor I switched to books up quickly, but you can still try. Dr. Blaskiewicz at St Mary's. He was very supportive of my vbac. He used a fetoscope instead of a doppler at prenatals......I had an ultrasound for placenta position only.....I had intermittent monitoring only. I was at 9 cm for over 4 hours before I got to 10 and pushed. A lot of doctors would have headed straight for the OR w/ a break in dilation for that, esp for vbac. No vaginal exams prior to labor and minimal ones during labor. Eating during labor was allowed. Hep lock only (but that was bc I was a vbac...if I had not been a vbac, I could have done w/out, which I was fine w/) and he didn't clamp the cord.
Oh, and he let my dh catch the baby. My dh was uber nervous, but it went well. My dh didn't know ahead of time....doc just said, "Hey, do you want to catch him??" right as he was coming out.
