Anatomy Book Recs For a Preschooler?

My DD has a sudden interest in anatomy in general and the skeletal system in particular.

I'd like to get her some books to satisfy her interest. Maybe a coloring book and a simple book with overlays.

But I'm open to suggestion.

My DD has a very large vocabulary and an advanced listening level, so something a bit beyond material strictly for her age would be OK.

Magic School Bus has several that we love.

Usborne has a Flip-Flap body book. There's "Jessica's X-ray". And it's not a book, but my DD loves her anatomy puzzle (http://www.amazon.com/Hape-Beleduc-Y.../dp/B000ELYJFC). You can't tell very well in that pic, but each layer is made up of multiple pieces -- arms. legs, head, torso, pelvis.

We had fun with the Magic School Bus Human Body book - ended up tracing my kids bodies on a large sheet of paper and proceeded to draw in the bones and organs and point out on the body where they were. Science Odyssey from Pandia Press Life Sciences anatomy projects were tons of fun and lots of great book recs. You can try before you buy.

My kids have anatomy aprons that they loved at that age. You put the apron on and all the internal organs are right there, velcroed on!

DK and Kingfisher both have great body encyclopedias and I'm not sure you could go wrong with Usborne ever.

I have that book, all 4 of my kids love it. We've had it a year and a half and man is that thing beat-up, I need to replace it soon I think. It is in Sonlight core P3/4, which is how we got it. My 7yo loves it, and she and her 6yo sister will sit down with their 3yo and 4yo sisters to look at the pictures together and explain the stuff as best they understand when they "play school" together. I adore that book, it is a must-have in my opinion (and not many books hit that list in my home)

You know, I saw this really cool anatomy book at costco the other day. It has cardboard pages that would overlay the 11 different body systems. It was really neat. I don't remember the name of it though, but I would guess if you are a member you could look around at the book section.

My son has been mesmerized with his Beleduc 5 layer body puzzle. There is a boy and a girl version that starts out with the skeleton, has an organ layer, a muscle layer, a skin layer (anatomically correct) and then clothes.

We also enjoy the book, Me and My Amazing Body.
