Welcome to theSeptember thread, ladies!!!

This is a thread for those who have been TTC for a long time, whether 6 months, 12 months, or more. At this point many of us are at or past 1 or 2 years, many have had losses, many are dealing with various forms of infertility, and some are just in a waiting period until they can TTC again.

The name? Well, all things considered we tend to be a little bitter sometimes. So read with care . And due to everything, our emotions run a little raw like sushi. Too many cycles of BFN and CD1 sushi & sake to console ourselves. This TTC business is something that seems to "just happen" for so many...but we just can't seem to get it right. So this is where we can be together, share and express anything.

Welcome to September, ladies!!! I know we're going to have an amazing, fertile, rejuvenating month!

Thanks for the new thread, Maurine.

I got big news yesterday afternoon. My HCG levels are way up. I think she said about 44,000, which is a big jump from last week. She wanted me to do an u/s right away, and I did it this morning. the tech would not tell me anything, and would not even let me see the screen (which I told her was pretty cruel). Then she brought in another tech to take a look at it. What in the world does this all mean? I did peek at the screen before she turned it away from me and saw a sac, but it still looked empty... I am not really sure though, as I was looking from an angle.

I have an appointment to talk about it with the doc tomorrow afternoon, but I asked the nurse if she would call to tell me what is happening as soon as she got the report from the radiologist. She said that she would (she is much more sympathetic than the u/s tech, apparently).

Ok, so I just looked back and saw your post, Tara Wow, that would haunt me too. There is a chance they could be right, so try not to beat yourself up over it.

Mae - DS waited to be born until the first snow storm in Alabama in three years. It was beautiful. Hopefully the hurricane is not too bad.

You must be going crazy!! How could they not show you the screen?!?! Or at least tell you something? Look now I'm flashbacks and it's making me crazy too...

OMG, rcr, that's so intense. I hope you get some good news! That's so sucky that you have to wait until tomorrow.

Sometimes I hate doctor's offices and the way they work. Of course, everyone seems to have their own horror stories. Just today I again called DH's urologist to get his bloodwork results. We've been calling for a month now, tests were done 1.5 months ago. We finally got them to tell us everything is ok. Here we were on pins and needles!

everybody! Thanks Maurine!

Maurine - thanks for the new thread, wishing you threadkeeper's luck

RCR - Wow, you must be on pins and needles. Hope you get some good news... Thinking of you and praying for a miracle!

AFM - Started spotting yesterday afternoon, AF came in full force overnight. So 10/11 day LP, ugh. I just hope the LP is the problem... doing a post-coital and egg reserve test this month and I'm really stressed about getting bad results there. Hoping to see a BFP from someone else soon, I need some cheering up

Sorry about AF.

Yes, I am on pins and needles... although I have read online (always correct medical information, right ) that HGCs can still rise with a blighted ovum, since your body still thinks it is pregnant... but then again, why did the bleeding stop... I am completely useless at work today.

rcr- omigosh that is big. I hope hope hope it is some good news. The wait must be excruciating. C'mon people, call her!

rcr - you are in my thoughts, I hope that you know something today!

sweetest -

AFM - ugh. DP and I were arguing for the 2 days before I O'd, apparently, which was again earlier than expected. I'm frustrated that we didn't BD for the 2 days leading up to O (we did the 2 days before that, and the 3 days after though - whoop-dee-doo). I'm frustrated that my O is no longer predictable. I'm frustrated that I'm not having a clear temp dip like I used to. I'm just frustrated.

I *AM* O'ing, right? If your temp goes up, then you've O'd, yes?

I am just so tired of this whole TTC business. I feel done, but I feel like I'm giving up due to frustration, and I'll be disappointed later.
I know I haven't done nearly the work/testing/etc. that some of you TTC veterans have, but we just do not have the funds.

Blech, sorry for the downer post.

No baby. Still a blighted ovum. damn. She wants me to come in tomorrow to talk about my "options." She mentioned the pill to make a miscarriage happen. What to do.... !? I would love your thoughts, I am really not thinking rationally right now.

No apologies, please! We're here for you. Do you have a chart to show us? Yes, a temp just of 3 or more days is considered confirmation of O. But you still totally have a chance!

. I've heard of that pill. I am sure it's not pleasant, but if you're anxious to start on the next cycle it might make sense. Plus I think the doctors sometimes worry about a missed m/c causing other issues. Oh, hon.

I would do some online research on that pill. I had a prescription for it with my second mc and ended up not using it after the stories I read.

Thanks. I will. What did you find out about it?
RCR - sorry to hear the bad news

Manna - It's highly unlikely that you would regularly see a temp shift and not be ovulating (the two charts you linked to both look ovulatory, although the most recent one needs more temps to be sure!). That being said, I've worried about the same thing but I do recognize it as an irrational worry at this point

Thanks for the new thread, Maurine! for threadkeeper's luck!

rcr-- a confirmed, 100% blighted ovum? Oh, man. How cruel that the bleeding would stop and your HCG go up; that's seriously deceptive. Are blighted ovums ever misdiagnosed if there's an error in dating the pregnancy? Any chance you could be wrong about O time? Hmm.

I'd say follow your gut on what to do next. If something feels right, go with it; if it feels wrong, avoid it. I'm sure whatever you decide to do will be the right thing.

I feel for you.
