CLH_X3-- I love your sig. Ain't it the truth! That's basically all of us here

TTC3years-- No one's going to judge you here for TTC before you were married! Some of the ladies around these parts are single & using donors, happily unmarried and trying, gay and married or not depending on their options in their place of residence (can't wait for that to change someday), etc etc etc. Lots of ways to make a family and your choices are yours, not anyone else's.

Welcome! We're a pretty awesome group, but don't get too attached... you'll want to be moving on to the DDCs as soon as possible

Sly-- three fertilized embies is awesome! That's THREE BABIES you have already made. Amazing! And someone's babysitting them and you could end up with my not-so-secret fantasy... TWINS! or TRIPLETS! which is totally not my fantasy, lol, I don't like me and DH going from "no kids" to "outnumbered" so quickly, but think of the possibilities... the matching outfits, the rhyming names... so many terrible, hilariously cruel things you could do to your children...

My vote is for Gary, Barry and Carrie. I may start calling your embies that in my head. Hey, I need something to do, I'm CD 4

Maurine-- glad as I am to have you around for my first Clomid cycle, since I'll be haunting these boards probably even more than I already do, I wish you were moving on to a DDC. Enough is enough! You could always come back and visit... did you get to talk to your Dr about when to stop the progesterone?

Also, I LOVE the way you are thinking this month about being so involved - how amazing would that be to know and see exactly what was going on?! What a blessing!
Okay, so you know the Traveling Pants (as in, the original reference) were WORN by all the girls, right?

So before I got to the bottom of your post, what do you think I thought when you referenced Traveling Instead Cups?

I'll give you a hint: I finally get to use this smiley
:Puke

LOL

Okay, fine, UNUSED Instead Cups, that I can see. I also think that anyone who graduates to a DDC and feels a reasonable amount of time has passed and they have faith in a sticky baby should pass on some of the huge stash of ICs we all know we have that I would join in on!

Those really squick me out. The idea of not suffering through AF sounds fantastic to me, but there's no easy way out of something so deeply ingrained in one's biology that you can escape it without cost. It's just not natural. Ergh.

AFM: Tra la la, CD 4. I got my Clomid and Ovidrel in the mail today. Ovidrel's in the fridge. The package said it could go in there but the internet said it shouldn't. Guess who I agree with more. Clomid starts tomorrow night! Soooo, that'll be exciting.

A national accrediting organization is coming to observe us at work tomorrow, and my mom's coming over to do more gardening, and DH is going to clean out his office so I can push all the stuff from the guest bedroom in there because we have a friend staying with us this weekend, AND we're still gathering up things for a flea market I rented a table at on Saturday! Phew! Can you tell we're busy? So that will get me through the weekend, and therefore CD 8, pretty nicely. All good distractions.

Last day of clomid today. Two babies born. Waiting on my friends twins to be born soon. Hope it means twins for sly and not for me!

I didn't think about that AT ALL.
The ones for mailing are definitely unused

slylives - for your embies.

Looks like several O's expected shortly in this thread - go enigo's, luminesce's, and Mahnamahna's ovaries!

Second last day of clomid for me this cycle. I hate taking them because they are full of lactose and make me gassy all day.

CLH_X3 - if I know of anyone heading your direction soon, I'll send them along

Hey, Gary Barry and Carrie is better than, say, Destiny and Destanee. I've seen that sort of thing before too! Or Mira and Miracle. How do they keep it straight???

Yay for two pink lines on anything Have fun tonight!

I cannot for the life of me stomach Robitussin. It's just one of the few things that will make me :Puke Anything with that cherry-ish cough drop flavor... evem if I smell it... shudder.

AFM, CD 5! Clomid day! And... I am so tired and headache-y and gross today. So I'm not really excited. heh. Trying not to be annoyed with DH, who put on the AC in our room, and after a discussion about how it didn't feel cold enough, pressed a few random buttons and then rolled over and fell asleep. (The AC is on his side of the bed.) It was hot all night and I got practically no sleep and have a terrible headache now... and when I looked at the AC in the morning, there was no temperature set! It was on FAN. Surely pausing a moment to look carefully at it and think "Hmm, where did the temperature set numbers go?" would have revealed the problem and an easy solution in, like, 3 seconds, which is how I "fixed it" this morning. He just doesn't think of things like that. But he did make really yummy oatmeal this morning. Ah, well.

So here's hoping I squeeze in a quick nap before work today

I don't know about O timing post-D&C. But wouldn't it be nice to get pg naturally right away? I've got my fingers crossed for you!
Well, she was wrong about me, but I did speak to her afterward about it, and she said that it may be because I was actually still pregnant when I asked her about her miscarriage, so she saw that I was still having the baby. I hope she was wrong about you too!

I have the same goal - to be pregnant again by xmas. That way I think I will have the baby before my mom dies, unless she does faster than I expect her to. Also, we are waiting until after Jan 1 to do iui because DHs insurance pays for it, but we can't switch to his insurance until Jan 1 - so it would be nice to be pregnant before that date.

Similar with my clients - first cycles have been 28-45 days to bleeding again, post miscarriage.
Oh, hope that is true with me, that would mean that I O right before I go out of town. I am worried about O'ing while I am away.

MbA - do Mucinex instead of robitussin! Same stuff, in a pill.

Clomid at higher doses gave me migraines - estrogen does that to me. I also got 5 eggs, too many!
On the lower dose, I'm fine. No symptoms.

What exactly does robotussin do for ttc? I forgot.

It's suppose to help loosen and thin the CM - You would look for robotussin with "guaifenesin" in it - I think I spelt that right. That's the ingredient that actually helps the mucus become thinner.

Looks like a 5-day transfer!

The embryolist said that she would call first thing if I needed to rush in today for a 3-day transfer. She hasn't called, so Barry, Gary and Carrie must be going strong! Transfer should be Saturday.

Also wanted to say how very much I appreciate the words of support - reading your comments has changed my perspective on this whole process and I am actually optimistic about the outcome now - and believe me, I was ready to give up after the phonecall from the embryologist.

I keep my Ovidrel in the fridge. It says it can keep up to 30 days outside of it, but I don't want to take any chances! Oh, and I guess you're supposed to let it come to room temp before injection? That way it doesn't hurt as much going in. I didn't know that last time, and it did hurt a little--but not much.

Yay for first round of clomid!!

Maureen - so sorry this was not your cycle.

Mahna - I have the same problem with Instead cups. Cannot get the danged things out. Have to do all kinds of contortions, and usually end up in a panic. Just not worth it for me!

miriam_bat_avraham - thanks for pointing that out (about the Instead Cups). gag.

rcr - I always have super-late ovulations after miscarriages, but I've never had a D&C. Here's hoping you don't have to wait too long and that you O before leaving town!

sly - so glad you are feeling optimistic! Go, sly's embroyos! Go forth and multiply (the cells, that is. Wouldn't it be great if the embryos themselves could multiply?)

enigo - Wow. What an amazing opportunity. Take it, take it! What a cool job you have.

AFM - CD?? I think 15. Just trying to remember my dreams for this Fertile Heart workshop this weekend. Last night was something about having trouble finding a shopping cart at IKEA (a store which I truly hate) and a tourist information centre in Mongolia.

Rethinking this not charting, not monitoring thing. Sure, it was relaxing-until I started wondering whether I've O'ed yet (yes, we too, are old and have trouble finding the time and energy to BD many times per week, so I want to know if we can stop). Now I have no way to know! So I've started peeing on sticks. Those OPKs never work well for me though. Realized that I won't know when to expect AF either, and I have to go to Geneva around CD 30. Urgh.

So I could of been talking a pill this whole time instead of drinking the stuff, gagging and drinking loads water after to get rid of the taste!!

I think il just stick with the syrup its only £3
post #338 of 441

I realized last night that not only was it a full moon but it was a harvest moon on the last day of summer. Maybe the moon is pulling on our ovaries.
