quints by surprise ?

Did anyone watch this last night? I'm not sure if it was the season premiere or what, but I loved it! I enjoy seeing big happy families on TV. The mom was so sweet and she and her DH seem genuinely in love. The babies were adorable.

It was unclear to me exactly what their financial problems are-- maybe I missed something-- did the DH get laid off (was this in another episode)? The show mentioned they had lost $90,000 in income while gaining $60,000 in expenses. Or was the mum working, and now a SAHM?

I believe he is an independent contractor who flips houses/does renovations, and he started his own business right before the recession hit.

I watched & agree - they are a really sweet couple with cute kids! I think the $$ problems are from the fast increase in kids & the fact that the dad is getting fewer home-building jobs then he anticipated. My first thought, though, was that they'll be getting some $$ for doing the show!

It was nice to see a happy couple, much different than other "multiples" shows I've seen recently.

Their quints are almost the same age as my DS, & I just kept thinking - oh wow, could I chase after 5 DSs everyday!?!

they actually had a hr long special a few months back (yr ago?) about her pg and their situation. He works in home building and the bad economy hit right when they got their quint suprise. I like the feel of this show a lot better than some other mulitiples shows I've seen.

i agree it was a very happy upbeat show. Much sweeter and happier than other multiple shows I've seen.
